6 things to make #Quarantinelife a little more enjoyable

Hey Se.lah family!

How are you doing out there? For #wellnesswednesday I came across a few cool things this week that may make this time at home a little more enjoyable, mind body and soul:

1. Will Smith just curated the coolest mix of instrumentals to play while working at home.

Working remotely from home? Play this playlist in the background to add ambiance to your work space.

2. Get up and MOVE

We all needed that first week to adjust to all of the rapid changes that we are collectively experiencing right now. However, being restricted to the home for too long can cause us to get a little stir crazy or even worse: low. Release your seratonin and keep your spirits high by incorporating movement into your new routine. If you have 5 minutes, try a challenge like this 21 day one by Vicki Justiz or if you have longer, take on Holly Dolke's daily 30 day challenge.

3. Host a Netflix Watch Party

Missing your movie nights with friends? Netflix is now offering watch parties. Download the Netflix Party as an extension to your google chrome, open netflix, invite and watch and comment together!

4. Host a ZOOM meeting to connect groups.

By now, most of us have shifted to zoom for our staff meetings. However, this can also be a creative way to connect! Here are some ideas:

  • Schedule a dinner date with your friends or loved ones. Pick a time, log on, eat, gossip, laugh.

  • Have a virtual game night- Pictionary and Jeopardy can easily be done over zoom. Set up teams and host a Trivia Night. Get to guessing!

  • Host a book club or study- Pick a book and connect weekly while discussing the book. This is also great for Bible Studies or Book Studies.

5. Send a letter.

Texting is great, but how nice would it be to receive something that you weren't expecting in the mail? Don't know where to start? Connect with "Open When" letters. Lucky for you, I created a free printable to make your life easier right here on the blog.

6. Keep your mind focused on the GOOD THINGS.

Whatever it takes to keep that joy going, do it! Here are a few of my favorite content creators and podcasts that keep me laughing and/ or inspired:

Let me know how this works out for you! And remember, we are all in this together.

Love ya!

R.
